The Indian Ministry of External Affairs commented on the detention of Indian scholar Badar Khan Suri by US officials recently. The ministry emphasised on complying with the law of the land one is residing in without giving any more information about contacting the detained student. Badar Khan Suri was detained by US immigration officials outside his house in Virginia on March 17 on charges of allegedly having ties with Palestinian armed group Hamas.
